What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a proposed standard (Answer.AI, 2024) — a plain-text markdown file at your site root that tells AI search engines and AI agents what your site is about and which pages matter most. It complements robots.txt and sitemap.xml.
Is the generator really free?
Yes — the tool itself is free, there is no account, and your files are processed entirely in your browser. Optional title fetching uses the free r.jina.ai reader service (~20 requests/minute).
Do my files get uploaded anywhere?
No. Sitemap parsing, grouping, generation and scoring all happen in your browser. When you paste a sitemap URL or domain, the sitemap is fetched through a public CORS proxy so it never leaves your device. The only outbound requests are the optional page fetches through r.jina.ai.
What is the GEO score?
A 0–100 score of how well AI search engines can cite your file, built from five research-backed checks: ski-ramp entity placement, chunk self-containment, question-form headings, entity density and definitional phrasing. Each check shows its threshold and a one-click fix.
Where do I put the generated file?
Download llms.txt and publish it at the root of your domain, for example https://yoursite.com/llms.txt. No configuration is needed — AI crawlers that support the convention look for it there.
What is llms-full.txt?
The companion file that inlines full page content as markdown, so an AI agent can ingest your whole documentation corpus in a single request. This generator builds it by fetching your pages through the r.jina.ai reader — always review the draft before publishing.
